South African Project at Harford Manor School
The whole school took part in an exciting project about South Africa and all week was spent involving the pupils in a range of activities, including puppet making, which happens to be a fantastic tradition in southern Africa. Most of the children and youngsters made a puppet, mainly from socks, spoons or stick puppets and masks. The pupils really enjoyed it and it so exciting to make some amazing animal puppets!
Evaluation from the school and Deputy Head, Cathy:
Excellent in all areas of:
enjoyment and satisfaction with the puppets,
learning intentions achieved,
cost was appropriate.
High quality materials/good guidance given to students/handled sensitively/activities set at appropriate level.
Though initially too wordy, I adapted this to suit the students.
